(1)Due Attention Should Be Given to Spelling Quite a few students now (1) neglect spelling in English study. Take the simple word “trouble” for example. Only a few students can (2) spell “trouble” without trouble — others may spell it as truble, touble or something else. (3) For various reasons, spelling is now becoming a neglected art. (4) First of all, many students don’t care about spelling. Some say they’re going to have a secretary when they get a job, and he or she will correct their spelling. (4) Second, most word processors and email programs come with a built-in spell checker, which discourages students to spell well. (4) Last but not least, teachers appear not to be overly concerned about students’ spelling errors. To change this situation, I think both students and teachers should make effort. (5) On one hand, students should give spelling due attention. (6) It’s necessary that they change the way they see spelling and avoid relying too much on computers or somebody else. (5) On the other hand, to make better spellers of the students, every teacher,especially the one who teaches English, should be concerned about students’ poor spelling.
(2)Due Attention Should Be Given to Spelling Nowadays fewer and fewer students pay attention to their word-spelling. According to a recent survey, there is a dramatic increase in the number of students who can only imitate the pronunciation of a word but be incapable of spelling it. In this essay I will discuss the factors of this phenomenon and offer my own view on it. There are a number of factors can be accountable for this situation. One of the most common factors is that fewer and fewer students need to write English essays. Besides, the goal of most students to learn English is to speak it and pass the examination which means they just need to select the similar words according to the listening materials and passages. Perhaps the most contributing factor is the wide use of electronic devices such as e-dictionaries and computers and students no longer need to correct the words by themselves. As far as I’m concerned, I firmly argue that we need to attach great importance to word-spelling. To the students, they should write English as much as they can. Meanwhile, to the teachers, the dictations should be reinforced in the class.

(1)How Should Parents Help Children to Be Independent? Nowadays some parents tend to take on everything concerned with their children, including their study, job and even marriage. Most of them do this out of love, hoping they can craft the perfect childhood for their kids and give their children the best possible shot at success in life. Unfortunately, it doesn’t help children to become self-reliant. To help their children develop independence, here are some tips for parents. First, give children increasing responsibility. Teach children that they are important contributors to the family, and give them age-appropriate chores. Second, encourage kids to try things themselves first. If they try, and don’t know how to complete a task,offer them help, but teach them how to do the task rather than doing it for them. Third, teach kids to solve their own disputes. Encourage children to work out issues themselves, and to approach parents only if someone is in danger or the problem is very difficult to deal with. There is no single way to help children become independent. However, as long as parents follow the advice mentioned above, it’s not hard to raise children to become independent adults.
(2)How should parents help children to be independent? Nowadays, there’s an increasing number of household in China that has an only one child. Most of parents Love and care for children so much that children has less chances to deal with problems by themselves . Consequently, children get used to depending on their parents in everything and lack of ability to solve problems independently, which is bad for their growing. There are some effective ways for parents to help their children be independent. To start with, parents should give their children more chances to experience the world and life around them. Thus their children can enhance the capability to overcome the difficulties and handle problems independently. In addition, parents should offer enough assistance when their children need some instructions and advices. In this way, they depend on their parents in a right way and can solve problems independently when they face the same one next time. Last but not least, parents should allow their children to make decisions independently. Children would improve the ability to deal with the problems they are confronted with in their life. From the above discussion, I strongly believe that parent should help their children be independent by instructing them in a proper way rather than planning and considering everything for them. It’s children who decide their future and fate, so it would be beneficial for them to live independently with some proper instructions of their parents.
